Henry VIII declared himself head of the English church in 1534 to get his divorce, closed the smaller monasteries, and executed Anne Boleyn in 1536. In Peru, Pizarro strangled Atahualpa in 1533 and seized Cuzco, shipping Andean silver toward Spain.
