Introducing Timeline — Explore Stories Through Time

StoryTerra has always been about discovering stories through where they take place. Now, there is a new way to visualize them through when they happen.

The new Timeline Mode lets you view stories from the Home page or any list as a visual timeline. Instead of scrolling through cards, you can now see how all the stories relate to each other across history.

Movies, books, games, and TV shows appear along a chronological line, making it easy to see which stories take place in the same eras and how different periods are represented. It’s a simple but powerful way to visualize the time span of the stories in any list.

Historical Context Layer

Timeline Mode also introduces a Historical Layer that adds real-world events beneath the story timeline.

When enabled, important historical moments appear alongside the stories, helping place them within the events of their time. This adds an extra layer of context, letting you see what was happening in the real world during the same years as the stories you're exploring.

As usual, clicking on any story card lets you explore more details about it, but the timeline gives you an immediate visual sense of how stories and historical events connect across time.

The New Light Mode

A new Light Mode has been added, so you can explore the map during the day too! Switch between day and night views to see your stories and locations in a fresh new perspective.
